An Open Letter to eBay: Why you Should Fire your Affiliate Team

Dear eBay:
I am very excited that you are moving your affiliate program away from Commission Junction to set up your in-house affiliate program, eBay Partner Network. I really like your affiliate program as your store coverts really well. You see, people like bargain and see you as a trusted brand.

In the past I’ve made nice affiliate commission with your affiliate program via several websites. I set up these websites with a US partner. We earned the revenue via his eBay affiliate account. Why the hassle? Well, in the past whenever I applied to eBay affiliate program I got auto-reject all the time.

Sooo….. I’ve received notification that you now have eBay Partner Network. I was very excited as I thought you will give me a chance. I went through the form and submit my application carefully. Next, you rejected me again. I would not take “NO” as an answer. I click on “Contact Us” at here for re-evaluation. I explained my business model, statistics and visitors’ democratic. Within minutes, I have this reply from you:

Seriously, I am devastated! Why are you doing this to me? Firstly, unlike physical store, my website is not restricted to local visitors! Look at the statistic of one of my site below, I drive ten of thousands visitors to my websites every month, most of them are from US (where most of your customers come from). All these visitors come to my site via search engine. I swear that I used 100% white hat techniques. I am a good girl! I don’t do anything deceptive. I don’t wear black hat. I don’t spam!

What’s more, I have PPC accounts with Google Adwords, Yahoo Overture and MSN AdCenter. Maybe you don’t know that we can target our website visitors by location?

OK maybe you doubt my ability to drive revenue for you. Let’s just take a look at one of my affiliate earning account below, I produced $! I have customers from all over the world, you name it: Europe, US, Australia, Singapore. I bet many of your affiliates do not earn a cent for you. Am I right? Bare in mind that it’s only one of my incoming producing affiliate accounts, and I have quite a few like that.

Do you worry about my proficiency in English? As you can see, although English is not my first language (I am Asian), I write OK English that produced sales. Most people have no problem reading my article.

Bay oh eBay… why the discrimination against us the non-US affiliates? Seriously, you should fire your affiliate management team as I think they have no clue about affiliate marketing. They are still living in the dinosaur age to think that your business is only limited to your location. They are pushing away opportunities that will help you to make more money.

Lastly, I’ve decided that if you don’t love me, someone else will. Finally I’ve learned the cruel fact that you are just not that into me. My friend Mariah can best describe how I feel now, as she sings:
“I still believe, someday you and me, Will find ourselves in love again;
I had a dream, someday you and me, Will find ourselves in love again.”

Note: if you are on the rush just go to here , I’ve used the strategy in the ebooks to earn quick money.

The best way to generate quick cash is tap into the latest trend where the buying frenzy set in. If you present your offer at the right time when people are ready to buy, you will make some nice profits.

Not too long ago, I bought a software at $137 to assist my business. I absolutely love the software and decided to promote it. The company is giving 50% commission. I set up an Adwords Campaign bidding on the software name I made average 1 sale every two days as it is a tight niche. Not too bad, considering that the commission is $67. It took me less than one hour to set up the landing page at Adwords.

Then one day I received an email from the company that they are going to raise the price to $197 due to popular demands of their software. They sent out an email to inform their subscribers that the price will be raise within 2 days. Just 1 day before the datelines, I’ve made a total 9 sales, resulting in over $600 affiliate commission. Some of these subscribers go to search engine to do some research and they stumble upon my offers?.

As mentioned, you have to present the right offer at the right time. If you want to make some quick cash, the best way is to promote hottest selling products.
For example, Yahoo! Buzz publish the latest trend of different categories from their search data. From the entertainment category, you can learn who are the most popular singers, and also the popular songs. With these data, you can promote offers like ringtones, T Shirt and posters! In case you don’t know, some ringtone companies pay up to $17 per lead!

No doubt these are not long term strategies to build your internet business. However, they are nice supplement to your business.

If you wish to learn more on quick cash generation, I highly recommend this book:

There’s a new course called “10 Day Cash Secret” by Neil Shearing. A lot of gurus (like Dr Andy Williams & Michael Campbell) are promoting the course. I am a sucker for internet and business opportunity, so I decided to jump into the bandwagon.

What is this course about? “10 Day cash Secret” by Neil Shearing contains a Wordpress plugin, some video and PDF tutorials. The plugin allows you to set up Wordpress blogs with affiliate datafeed. Neil shows you how to sort the datafeed in excel spreadsheet as affiliate companies have different affiliate format. As advertised, the system also does the following: SEO configuration, sitemap creation, embed RSS feeds etc. You get traffic to the blogs via long tail search terms.

The problems with “10 Day Cash Secret” is duplicate contents penalty. Note that the datafeed are available to every affiliate. It means other affiliates will share the same contents as you! In addition, the blogs created via the “10 Day Cash Secret” system appears to be spammy. It’s that kind of “thin” affiliate site that Google hates. Don’t believe? Take a look at Neil’s example site and you will know what I mean:
http://winebuyersuk.com

$4k commission with spammy blogs? I saw some discussion in the forums and realize that many people have been misled by the salesletter. If you read the sales letter of “10 Day Cash Secret” carefully, Neil made over $4k in sales. His actual commission is merely $100.

Should you buy “10 Day Cash Secret”? I do not recommend “10 Day Cash Secret” for reasons stated above. It is not a viable business model for long term. Even if you want to generate some quick cash, there are other better options too.

Recently there is an infomercial featuring “ancient Japanese secret” –Kinoki. According to the advertising, Kinoki foot Pads can do wonders to your body, including the following:

• Remove toxins, heavy metals, parasites and chemicals from your body;
• Improve your sleep and headache;
• Lose weight;
• Remove cellulite (wow!)

How does Kinoki Foot Pads work? According to the infomercial, “This amazing system for cleansing the body is based on the ancient practices of foot reflexology. Working much more quickly than other detox methods and using the natural cleansing power of double distilled bamboo vinegar, harmful substances are drawn out of your body.”
All you have to do is “Pay $9.95 shipping and handling for each additional set of pads. $10 bucks for S&H.

Does Kinoki Foot Pads work? Unfortunately, your body doesn’t work this way. It has an intestinal tract to transport solids throughout the body. There are only three way of toxins elimination: sweat, urine and bowel movements. Toxins that make its way to skin will be extruding as sweat, with or without the helps of Kinoki Foot Pad. In addition, your skin, liver, kidney and urethra are most effective at extruding substances. Most of these minerals are too large to move across the membranes, thus it is doubtful that Kinoki Foot Pads can actually “suck” the toxins away from your body.

If you watch the infomercial, you will notice that foot turn brown after contacting with Kinoki foot pads. It is actually nothing more than chemical reaction between sweet and chemicals inside Kinoki foot pads.

Some may argue that Kinoki Foot Pads is approved by FDA (as advertised). So what? Just because FDA has approved it doesn’t mean it is safe. Just take Statins (drugs for lowering cholesterol) as example. It is FDA approved and yet many people have experience serious side effects from it.

You probably reach this page because you are interested in a program called “Home Rebate Processor”. Well you’ve come to right place as you are going to read my experience and a no BS review of “Home Rebate Processor Certification Program”. You can read the sales letter at http://processathome.com
One fine morning I received an email from a lady called Angel Stevens to promote a program called “Home Rebate Processor Certification Program”. According to the sales letter, some companies are looking for people to process rebate. With only “60 minutes a day”, you can “earn $250 or more every day.. the easy way”. WOW! I’ve been working online for 4+ years and have never come across deal like this. Sound too good to be true huh, I went ahead to purchase the program at $197. Is this a real deal or a scam? Read on …

What’s Home Rebate Processor about?
Get this: there are no companies looking for people to process rebate in this program! Basically, the program teaches you how to promote Clickbank products, set up your Clickbank and Paypal account. In case you are not aware, Clickbank is digital product retailer. You can sign up with Clickbank as an affiliate(middleman) to promote their products for commissions cut (sometimes up to 70%). Clickbank is a legitimate company. Many people, including myself has made money with Clickbank. It is completely FREE to join Clickbank affiliate program.

Ok so where’s the rebate processing job? In Home Rebate Processor, you promote Clickbank products, and tell people that you are offering rebate for their purchase. Then, you pay them the rebate via Paypal after the purchase.
Case in point, you were promoting e-book A to John Smith. This e-book is selling at $100, with commission of $50, and you offer John a rebate of $20. John went ahead and made the purchase. Minutes later, John received Paypal fund of $20 from you. John just got a great deal, and you’ve just earned $30, everyone is happy! Well, not quite… which lead me to these points:

  1. You have to make minimum amount of commission before Clickbank issue a check.
  2. Clickbank will withhold your payment until you make minimum 5 sales from different credit cards (at least one Visa Card and one Master.
  3. If you follow he instructions in the program, your advertising cost may outweigh your commissions, which leave you negative profits.
  4. [Side note: I believe that you have the ability to meet more than minimum requirement to cash out your check, so the above 3 points may not be applicable to you, pay attention to my final point].

  5. Most importantly, Clickbank forbid the practice they preached in Home Rebate Process program! According to Clickbank Affiliate FAQ, “ClickBank accounts cannot be used for the sole purpose of collecting rebates”. Clickbank doesn’t allow its affiliate to offer rebates! If you are caught, your account may be shut down and there go your hard earned commissions.

In short, stay away from Home Rebate Processor!

Many people have been complaining that they cannot get refund from money making Program although the many programs claim to have money back guarantee within certain period. If you are still eligible for the refund, follow these steps to get your money back and protect yourself:

  1. Request to cancel your credit card. Instead of asking your bank to issue you a new card, apply a new card with another bank.
  2. Next, get your purchase details in order. File a credit card dispute with your credit card company and demand chargeback. If you use a debit card, file the dispute with your bank. Show the credit card company or the bank all related documents, including proof that you’ve tried contacting the company.

Rarely, the credit card company will refuse to reverse the charges after they review the dispute. If you encounter this problem, speak to the bank manager or the area manager in your state on following issues:
